Anime Review: Haikyuu!

Hi everybody! Today I’ll be doing a review of the sports anime Haikyuu! Originally written by manga artist Haruichi Furudate and produced into anime by Production I.G as of April 2014. It, sadly, has only 25 episodes.

It follows the adventures of Shōyō Hinata a fervent volley ball player who hopes to follow into the footsteps of his idol ‘the little giant’, one of the most celebrated volleyball players of his time. Notwithstanding, he is forced to partner with his long term rival, Tobio Kageyama, a difficult-to-work with prodigy in the sport.
The Good
I talked to an actual volleyball player about this, and I am proud to say a lot of what is portrayed is actually true, not just absurd tactics that can’t happen in reality…so… BONUS points for that!
Legit moves. >.<
You always wanted to know how to hold a ball.
Now you know what a spike is.
All the characters in-story have fleshed out personalities, dreams and goals. Team dynamics are realistic and there are very few gofers in the entire anime. The sole reason why I have come to dearly love this season. There plenty of comedic scenes that will leave you in stitches for those who might take a detour because of its sports focus.
The Bad
There is nothing wrong with it! Tis perfect!

As it is now, the ending looked like it was gearing up for a second season. Let’s cross our fingers people! All in all this is a definite must watch
Aww yeah!

Anime review for Sword Art Online and Sword Art Online II

Hi everybody! Today I will be doing  a double dose review for SWA and SWA 2  also known as Gun Gale Online.

Sword Art Online

Sword Art Online is based on the idea of a futuristic view of Japan where gamers can play online in a realistic world via software known as Full dive. The most sort after game, Sword Art Online is the first debut game using this technology and is accessed by millions of fans on the very first day.Tragedy strikes when players find themselves trapped online and faced with the reality that if they ever wish to leave, they will have to clear the game's 100 levels.
Most of the story follows the exploits of Kazuto Kirigaya known online as "Kirito" a beta tester for the game and veteran gamer.
MY VERY BIASED OPINION...
The good
The art style is amaziiiiiing. Sharp graphics, beautiful layouts, stunning sunsets. Mehh...you get my drift.

The bad

The first episode was what I thought the whole series was going to be; fresh and action packed with those fight scenes we all love. Instead I got an unwanted harem with Kirito. Apparently, there isn't a girl yet he hasn't been left nursing a broken heart (bar his co-star Asuna) ,never mind they may have met him for less than three days. The story feels incredibly rushed in an attempt to condense events and is angled more towards  romance than the actual story. For readers of the original light novel...I feel your pain.

Gihihihi!
Not little old me!
MOVE, BITCH...GET OUT THE WAY!

Dammit! My waifu found out.

Gun Gale Online
The story jumps from the previous story roughly by a year where we see Kirito investigating murders involving players from a popular VRMMORPG known as Gun Gale Online. He enlists help from fellow player Sinon who has a surprisingly dark past. This is still an ongoing anime as of the time of this post so there might not be as much to dissect as its predecessor.
A-1 Pictures has clearly continued the good work in terms of graphics and the story has taken a sharp turn in turn of actual plot. (Mild teaser; Kirito's avatar turns into a girl) so there's a bit of gender-bender for those of you who like that sort of thing. So far I for one am hooked and looking forward to watching more.
I'M A GUY...deep, deep inside.
